Who remains when everyone is gone. 99 words


The archeological team from Deneb Prime finally heard the signal from a far-off civilization, on a planet called Earth. The aliens found the planet uninhabited.


Poking about some ancient ruins in a place once called Scotland, they finally found a human. Yet, she was made of some vaporous gas, not a solid as they were led to believe from the visual transmissions.


Despite her gaseous form, she held a single solid candle.


She kept vigil in front of a fiber based medium two-dimensional representation of a human with black hair and black eyes. The figure in the painting blinked.
